Backgrounds, shapes, icons and products

Updated 17 September 2026

Set the backdrop, add structure with shapes and tables, and pull live product data into menu designs.

Change the page background

Open Background in the left-hand tools. Choose a colour swatch or open Pick color. The picker has Solid and Linear (gradient) tabs; Solid accepts a Hex value and individual colour channels. You can also search the background photo library.

Background → Pick color changes the page itself. Here the Hex value eaf5fc gives a pale blue.
Two different “backgrounds”: the Canvas background Light / Gray / Dark buttons at the bottom-left only change the editing workspace around your page. Use the left-hand Background tool for what viewers will actually see.

Add shapes, dividers and tables

Open Shapes, then choose a table, line or shape. Select the new object to change its fill colour or Stroke settings (outline). Shapes have W and H controls in pixels. Use Position → To back when a coloured panel should sit behind your text.

The Shapes panel includes tables, lines and shapes; Stroke settings controls the outline width.

Icons and templates

Icon gives you searchable icon tiles. Templates offers ready-made designs with search and filters. Save your current work before switching templates so nothing is lost.

Products for menu designs

Open Products, search for and tick the products you want, then choose options such as Group each product, Add description and Currency symbol before price. Select Add selected to place them. The panel also has Name, Description, Price and Kcal tools for fine-tuning.

Product options in the designer. Products come from your catalogue.

Products are managed outside the designer — see Manage products to build your catalogue, groups and price bands.
