Designer

Move, Zoom, Bounce, Blink and Rotate

Motion draws the eye. These are the movement animations in the designer and what each setting does.

Move: animate between positions

  1. Select an element and choose Animate → Move.
  2. Under From Point, use Pick on canvas and click the start position, or type X and Y coordinates.
  3. Under To Point, choose the destination. The two points must be different for anything to move.
  4. Set Delay, Duration and Loop. Start with Duration 1 s, Loop 1 and Reverse off, then preview.
Move exposes From and To points and an optional waypoint. Separate the points to see movement.

Waypoint (stop point) adds an intermediate point with a Stop Duration — “move here, pause, then continue”. Points can be a Fixed position or Follow element position; the reset control returns a fixed point to following the element. Re-check the path if you rearrange the layout.

Zoom: grow or shrink

Choose Zoom, then set From (%) and To (%). For an entrance, try 0 → 100, Duration 1 s and Loop 1. The From and To centres can follow the element or be picked on the canvas. This animates the object — the zoom buttons at the bottom of the editor only change your view.

Zoom has size percentages and start/end centres alongside timing and loop controls.

Bounce: a series of jumps

Choose Bounce. Set the Direction (Up or Down), Number of Jumps, Height (px) and Damping (%). At 60% damping each jump is 60% the height of the previous one. Set duration and loop to fit the page. Use Custom Points lets you draw your own path.

Bounce controls include jump count, height and damping. Large heights can take an element off the page.

Blink has Delay, Speed and Loop. Use it sparingly — repeated flashing makes signs uncomfortable and harder to read.

Rotate has Duration, Delay, Loop, Reverse, From/To degrees and a Pivot Point selector (centre or a corner), plus Pick point on canvas for a custom pivot. 0° → 360° is one full turn.
